Hi There!
My name is Laura, and I founded Trauma Recovery Counselling and Behaviour Support Services because I believe everyone deserves a judgement-free space where they feel seen, safe, and supported.
I am an NDIS Registered Behaviour Support Practitioner, an NDIS Registered Counsellor, a M.A.C.A Level 1 Counsellor, and hold a Bachelor of Psychological Science and a Graduate Diploma in Counselling (Children and Adolescents).
I know what it’s like to go through tough times and overcome struggles. My journey has inspired me to dedicate my professional life to be a light in the darkness, to help and support others going through their own struggles.
My focus is on supporting people living with disability and trauma, those experiencing emotional distress or who have complex behavioural needs.
My approach is grounded in compassion and patience, and I take the time to understand each person’s story, strengths and goals.
When working with NDIS participants, I collaborate closely with families, support workers and care teams to ensure strategies are practical and sustainable, as well as providing behaviour and support training to make sure everyone feels confident and supported in their role.
Outside of my professional life, I value balance and connection. I enjoy staying active and recently completed my first triathlon! I’m an avid reader, coffee enthusiast, and I treasure time spent with family and friends.
If you have any questions about support for you or a loved one, I would love to chat with you. Please visit the contact page to send through your enquiry.
